The first match of this tournament will be played at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in India. As for the final, it depends if Pakistan qualifies for the final, it will be played in Sri Lanka, otherwise, it could also be played in India at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium.
World Cup 2026 Super Eight and Knockout Schedule
In the T20 World Cup 2026, the knockout stage will consist of two semi-finals, which will decide the two teams that qualify for the final.
According to the agreement between the BCCI and PCB, Pakistan will play all of its matches at venues in Sri Lanka. There is a strong possibility that one of the semi-finals will be held at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
However, if Pakistan fails to qualify for the semi-finals, then both knockout matches will be played in India. Meanwhile, the matches of the top eight teams will be hosted at these same venues.
T20 World Cup Final Date and Venue
The T20 World Cup final will be played in March 2026. However, the venue for the match has not yet been finalized due to the agreement between the BCCI and PCB.

According to this agreement, Pakistan will not play any of its matches in India. If Pakistan qualifies for the final, the match will take place at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Otherwise, the final will be hosted at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Timing of 2026 World Cup Matches
The T20 World Cup 2026 will feature a total of 55 matches, with most of them scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM. However, some matches will be played at 5:00 PM. The event will span across two months, with certain days hosting two matches. On those days, the first match will start at 5:00 PM, followed by the second match at 9:00 PM.

The T20 World Cup 2026 will follow a Group Stage and Super Eight format. To begin with, the 20 teams will be divided into five groups, each consisting of four teams. This division will be based on the teams’ rankings.
After the group stage matches, the top eight teams will qualify for the next round, determined by points and net run rate (NRR). These eight teams will then be split into two groups of four. Each team will play one match against the other three teams in its group.
It is important to note that, in order to qualify for the knockout stage or the semi finals, a team must win at least two out of its three Super Eight matches. However, if three teams in a group each secure two wins, the qualification will be decided based on net run rate.
Only two teams from each group will advance to the semi finals. The two thrilling semi final clashes will then decide which teams progress to the grand final.
