ICC to Announce World Cup T20 2026 Schedule Today

Preparations are in progress for the ICC T20 World Cup that will be held in February in India and Sri Lanka. The main update is that the official schedule for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be released today. Reports confirm that India and Pakistan are in the same group with USA, Namibia and the Netherlands.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will take place from 7 February to 8 March. All 20 teams have been placed in four groups. The tournament will use the same format followed in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Each group has five teams. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eight stage. In the Super Eight, the teams will be divided into two groups. The top two from each group will move to the semifinals and then the final.

Pakistan and India are again placed in the same group. Their match is expected on 15 February in Colombo. Pakistan will play all group matches in Colombo. Sri Lanka will host matches at two venues including Colombo. Five venues in India will host the remaining matches. Ahmedabad has been selected for the final. If Pakistan qualifies for the final, the venue will be shifted to Colombo because Pakistan will not play in India.

Mumbai and Kolkata have been selected for the semifinals. If Pakistan qualifies, the semifinal will be held in Colombo.

Group B: Sri Lanka, Australia, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy
Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, UAE, Canada

Pakistan will play all matches in Colombo which will help the team adjust to the same conditions throughout the group stage.
