Pakistan Close to Finalizing T20 World Cup Squad
Pakistan has almost finalized its squad for the T20 World Cup, with the official announcement expected after the series against Sri Lanka. Salman Ali Agha will continue as captain of the team.

During the series against Sri Lanka, the performances of two to three players will be closely monitored. Based on those performances, the final World Cup squad will be announced.
Shaheen Shah Afridi’s inclusion depends on his fitness, as he suffered an injury during the Big Bash League. If he is not fully fit, Wasim Junior will be included in the squad. There is also competition between Khwaja Nafe and Usman Khan for the wicketkeeper’s position.
For the finisher’s role, Abdul Samad’s performance will be reviewed in the Sri Lanka series. Shadab Khan’s place in the World Cup squad appears almost certain.
Other players likely to be included in the squad are Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Salman Mirza, Abrar Ahmed, and Usman Tariq.
